Scope

This standard applies to the basic safety requirements for driver remote control devices for earthmoving machinery as defined in ISO 6165. This standard does not apply to autonomous control systems that can make the machine work on its own without the driver's assistance, nor does it apply to the remote control of auxiliary devices on non-remote-controlled machines.
