Scope
This standard specifies the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for determining the concentrations of 1,1-dichloro-1-fluoroethane (HCFC-141b), 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane (CFC-113), 1,1,1-trichloroethane (TCA), and carbon tetrachloride (CTC) in industrial cleaning agents. This standard applies to the determination of the mass fractions of HCFC-141b, CFC-113, TCA, and CTC in industrial cleaning agents, but not to the determination of the purity of these compounds. When the sample amount is 0.5 g, the detection limits of HCFC-141b, CFC-113, TCA, and CTC determined by this standard are 0.5%, 0.5%, 0.4%, and 0.5%, respectively, and the determination limits are 2.0%, 2.0%, 1.6%, and 2.0%, respectively.
