Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, transportation, and storage of light rare earth carbonates. This standard applies to light rare earth carbonates produced by chemical methods from rare earth ores primarily containing light rare earths. They are mainly used as raw materials for separating single rare earth products, preparing rare earth polishing powders, or as raw materials for producing mixed rare earth oxides for electrolysis.
