Scope

This document describes the method for determining the molybdenum and tungsten content in rare earth metals.
This document is applicable to the determination of molybdenum and tungsten content in rare earth metals. The determination range (mass fraction) of inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry (Method 1) is 0.0050% to 0.50%. The determination range (mass fraction) of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (Method 2) is 0.0001% to 0.10%. When the determination ranges overlap, Method 1 shall be used as the arbitration method.
