Scope
This part of GB/T 36800 specifies the method of determining the linear thermal expansion coefficient of plastics in the solid state using the principle of thermal expansion and the thermal mechanical analysis (TMA) method. It also specifies the method of determining the glass transition temperature by thermal mechanical analysis.
Note: Various types of thermal expansion instruments can be used to measure the linear thermal expansion coefficient. This part only deals with TMA instruments.
