Scope

This document specifies the general requirements, technical requirements, and safety requirements for the use of non-contact voltage detectors on AC and DC overhead lines. It also provides the steps for voltage detection and relevant requirements for maintenance. This document is applicable to non-contact voltage detection operations on AC overhead lines with voltages of 110 kV and above, and on DC overhead lines with voltages of ±400 kV and above.
