Scope
This document specifies the type, wiring, functional requirements, performance requirements, design conditions, overall design, SVC components and subsystems, and equipment layout requirements of high-voltage static reactive power compensation devices (hereinafter referred to as "SVCs"). This document is applicable to TCR-type and TSC-type SVCs in transmission and distribution systems with voltages of 6 kV and above, where the thyristor control branch can be directly connected to systems with voltages of 6 kV to 66 (63) kV. TSR-type SVCs can be implemented in accordance with this document.
