Scope

Main Technical Content: 3. The planting environment shall comply with the provisions of NY/T 391. 3.1 Soil Conditions: The soil should be loose, fertile, rich in organic matter, free from salinity and alkalinity, with a deep layer of soil and good drainage. It should be a sandy loam or light loam. 3.2 Irrigation Conditions: The land should be flat, with matching irrigation and drainage systems, and capable of irrigating with Yellow River water (or mechanical wells). A drip irrigation system can be installed. 4. Preparation 4.1 Seedling Preparation: - Seedling facilities such as greenhouses, multi-span greenhouses, and plastic sheds should use seedling trays filled with substrate. - Select 50-hole or 72-hole seedling trays. Before filling the trays, soak the substrate in a 50% solution of Multisporin at 500 times dilution or a 1000 times dilution of potassium permanganate for disinfection. - Prepare the substrate by mixing high-quality commercial seedling substrate in a strictly disinfected clean area. Disinfect it with a 50% solution of Multisporin at 1000 times dilution or 80–100 times dilution of Kocide, and ensure the substrate’s moisture content is 60–70% (can be formed into a ball without dripping). After stacking for 8–10 hours, it can be filled into trays. - Soak the seeds in 55°C warm water for 20 minutes, then lower the water temperature to around 30°C and soak for 3–4 hours. - Soak the seeds in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate or a 500-fold solution of Multisporin for 15–20 minutes, followed by rinsing 3–4 times with clean water and soaking in room-temperature water for 3–4 hours. - After soaking, wrap the seeds in a clean towel or wet cotton cloth to ensure even heating and looseness. Place them at a temperature of 28–30°C for germination. When 70% of the seeds show embryonic roots, they can be sown. Sowing can be done using a seedling sowing machine or manually.
