Scope
This document describes the analysis methods for the main chemical components of silicon carbide.
This document is applicable to the analysis of chemical components such as surface carbon (free carbon), silicon dioxide, surface silicon (free silicon), acid treatment loss, iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, total carbon, and silicon carbide in abrasives and crystalline blocks with a silicon carbide content of not less than 95% (by mass fraction).
