Scope
Scope: This standard defines the terms and definitions of pet grooming products and regulates the evaluation of pet grooming effects, including the determination methods and operational steps for indicators such as skin moisture and oil content, and hair glossiness. This standard applies to the evaluation of the effectiveness of pet feed (pet food), pet feed raw materials, and additives that claim to improve pet skin and hair quality. It also applies to the evaluation of in vitro pet washing and grooming products. The pet species applicable to this standard include dogs, cats, rabbits, and other terrestrial pets used for companionship and ornamental purposes. It does not include economic animals whose products are derived from fur or skin. This standard is only used for in vivo animal testing evaluations and does not set requirements or regulations for the efficacy performance of pet grooming products. Main technical contents: experimental design, analysis and determination of indicators, and handling of adverse reactions, etc.
