Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and designation, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of glass fiber building membranes (hereinafter referred to as "membranes").
This standard applies to building membranes made of glass fiber impregnated with polytetrafluoroethylene, and is not suitable for building membranes made of other substrates or impregnated with other materials.
