Scope

This standard specifies the principles of determining the composition of phenolic products, reagents and materials, instruments, sample collection, test steps, result calculation, reporting, and precision. This standard is applicable to the determination of the composition of phenolic products in coking products. Method I is applicable to the determination of the composition of coking phenols, industrial phenols, o-cresol, etc. in coking products; Method II is applicable to the determination of the composition of industrial methylphenols, m- and p-cresol, and industrial dimethylphenols in coking products.
