Scope

Scope: This document specifies the technical requirements for the cultivation of 'Zaoli No.1' litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.cv.Zaoli No.1), including terminology and definitions, site selection and planning, soil management, fertilization and irrigation, crown management, flower and fruit regulation, green pest control, harvesting, and file management. This document is applicable to the cultivation and production of 'Zaoli No.1' litchi. Main technical content: 4. Site selection and planning 4.1 Site selection: The site should be selected with rich organic matter in the soil, good drainage, groundwater level below 1 m, and an open, sunny location. The slope of the site should be less than 20°. For sites with a steeper slope, terraces should be constructed. The environmental conditions, air quality, irrigation water quality, and soil environmental quality of the site should comply with the requirements of NY/T 391. 4.2 Orchard planning: Based on the area, topography, and mechanized operation requirements of the orchard, a unified plan for zoning, roads, irrigation and drainage systems, and ancillary buildings should be made. According to the scale and topography of the site, the site can be divided into several small areas. Generally, cultivated areas account for 85% to 90% of the total area of the site; roads account for 3% to 5%; water storage tanks and drainage ditches account for 2% to 3%; fertilizer bases account for 2%; and management and production rooms account for about 2% to 4%. 4.3 Planting 4.3.1 Preparation before planting: The planting pit is 1.0 m × 1.0 m in length and width, and 0.8 m deep. Each plant is fertilized with 20 kg to 30 kg of organic fertilizer and 1 kg of calcium phosphate, mixed with topsoil and backfilled into the pit. The planting pit should be prepared in advance.
