Scope
This part of GB/T 18294 specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test instruments, solvents and materials, and test methods of ultraviolet spectroscopy in fire technical appraisal methods.
This part is applicable to the identification of common flammable liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and paint thinner at the fire scene, as well as their combustion residues. It is also applicable to the identification of other fire forensic evidence with ultraviolet absorption characteristics.
