Scope

This document describes the determination of trace amounts of copper, iron, sodium, calcium, and magnesium in boiler water and cooling water using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
This document is applicable to the determination of trace amounts of copper, iron, sodium, calcium, and magnesium in boiler water and cooling water. The measurement range is: copper content 0.1 μg/L to 1,000 μg/L, iron content 5 μg/L to 1,000 μg/L, sodium content 10 μg/L to 1,000 μg/L, calcium content 10 μg/L to 1,000 μg/L, and magnesium content 1 μg/L to 1,000 μg/L. If the concentration exceeds 1,000 μg/L, the sample should be diluted before measurement.
