Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, pre-incubation preparation, egg handling, disinfection, egg incubation, chick management, chick grading and labeling, and file management for the artificial incubation of lionhead geese. This document is applicable to the feeding and management during the artificial incubation period of lionhead geese; Main technical content: 4.2 Layout of the goose house 4.2.1 Relatively independent, with isolation measures from the breeding area and living management area. 4.2.2 The entrance should be equipped with a vehicle disinfection pool, disinfection corridor, and changing room. 4.2.3 Inside, there should be an egg processing room, egg disinfection room, egg storage room, incubation room, chick-out room, and chick-handling room. 4.2.4 The building should meet safety and hygiene requirements and have good facilities for rodent and bird prevention. 4.3 Environmental conditions The incubation room should maintain relatively stable temperature and humidity, with a temperature of 27 °C to 32 °C and a humidity of 65% to 70%, and have dedicated ventilation outlets. 5. Pre-incubation preparation 5.1 Environmental hygiene The incubation room, incubator, and other equipment and facilities should be cleaned and disinfected before use. 5.2 Inspection of the incubator 5.2.1 Check whether the incubator and chick-out machine are working normally before use. The trial run time before first use should be no less than 1 hour, and the trial run time before each subsequent use should be no less than 0.5 hour. 5.2.2 Calibrate the temperature and sensitivity of the incubator and chick-out machine, which should be within a range of ±0.1 °C. 6.
