Scope

This standard specifies the selection, manufacturing, testing, and usage requirements for check valves used in the oil and gas industry (hereinafter referred to as NRV).
This standard applies to check valves, short sections, positioning joints, pressure relief joints, and all other components that make up check valve equipment. It does not apply to the maintenance and inspection of check valves after they have left the factory or during their use.
