Scope

The load measurement part of wind turbine generators mainly targets horizontal-axis wind turbine generators (with a swept area of the wind turbine blade greater than 40 m2). The method described here can also be applied to other wind turbine generators (such as wind-driven water pumps and vertical-axis wind turbine generators).
The purpose of this guidance technical document is to provide methods and related technologies for load measurement of wind turbine generators. This guidance technical document can be used as a measurement guide for rule verification or directly determining structural loads. This guidance technical document can also serve as a standardized measurement document.
