Scope

This standard specifies the main dimensions and measurement methods of ordinary V-belts, narrow V-belts, variable-speed V-belts (hereinafter referred to as "V-belts"), hexagonal belts, and multi-wedge belts (hereinafter referred to as "belts") used in agricultural machinery. This standard applies to ordinary V-belts and narrow V-belts used for general transmission in agricultural machinery, hexagonal belts used for double-sided transmission, variable-speed V-belts, and multi-wedge belts used for multi-wedge belt transmission in agricultural machinery. If the V-belts and multi-wedge belts used in agricultural machinery are manufactured in accordance with the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) standard ASAE S211.5JUL98, their dimensions shall be produced in accordance with Appendix A.
