Scope

This document presents the environmental conditions under which electrical equipment operates in tropical islands, and classifies the environmental parameters and their severity. This document is applicable to electrical equipment used in tropical island regions, including power generation, power supply (transmission, substation, distribution), receiving facilities, and the relay protection and safety automatic devices, online monitoring devices, metering devices, power communication facilities, and grid dispatch automation facilities required to ensure the normal operation of these facilities.
