Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for dust explosion prevention in plastic production systems. This standard applies to: a) production systems that use olefin gases as raw materials, with the main process being the polymerization reaction to obtain plastic powder materials and the granulation process to obtain plastic granular materials; b) production systems that use plastic, synthetic polymer powders or granular materials as raw materials to produce and process plastic products through processes such as melting and injection molding, including waste plastic recycling and processing production systems. This standard does not apply to the plastic powder spraying process.
