Scope
This standard specifies the inspection methods for the metallographic structure of steel parts after carburizing, quenching, and tempering, as well as the determination of the metallographic structure grade and the depth of the effective hardening layer after carburizing and quenching.
This standard is applicable to steel parts with an effective hardening layer depth of more than 0.3 mm after carburizing and quenching.
