Scope
This standard specifies the principles, test materials, test equipment, samples, test conditions, test procedures, calculations, test results, and test reports for determining the pore content and fiber volume content of carbon fiber reinforced plastics. This standard is applicable to the determination of pore content and fiber volume content of unidirectional, orthogonal, and multidirectional layered carbon fiber reinforced plastics. Aramid and glass fiber reinforced plastics can also be used for reference, but it is not applicable to the determination of fiber volume content of fabric reinforced plastics.
