Scope

This document specifies the hydraulic test method for metal pipe rings. This document is applicable to pipe bodies with an outer diameter greater than 120 mm and a ratio of outer diameter to wall thickness of not less than 20:1. The purpose of the test is to determine the hoop stress value that meets the requirements for the total hoop strain.
