Scope

This standard specifies the method for conducting a circumferential hydraulic test on metal pipe bodies. It is generally used for pipe bodies with an outer diameter greater than 120 mm and a ratio of outer diameter to wall thickness of no less than 20.
The purpose of the test is to determine the circumferential stress value that achieves the required total circumferential strain.
