Scope

This document specifies the basic dimensional characteristics of piston pins for road vehicles and other reciprocating internal combustion engines with a nominal outer diameter of 8 mm to 100 mm. In certain applications other than road vehicles, with the consent of the manufacturer and the customer, this document can be used after appropriate modifications.
In addition, this document also establishes terms, piston pin type classification, and material descriptions based on mechanical performance, common characteristics, and quality requirements.
The application of this document may require the manufacturer and the customer to jointly agree on a data agreement.
