This document specifies the test instruments and methods for determining the organic content of insulation materials used in construction.
This document is applicable to the determination of organic content in inorganic materials, such as insulation materials with or without a facing layer that contain a small amount of organic components.
This document is not applicable to the determination of organic content in materials containing carbohydrates and/or carbonates, sulfates.
This document is not applicable to the determination of organic content in products such as adhesives, facing layers, and coatings.
