本规范适用于频率范围为125 Hz～12.5 kHz，以气导耳机、扬声器或骨振器作为发声器件；使用纯音、调频音、窄带噪声或录制的语言材料作为测听信号进行听阈检查的测听室声学特性的确定与评价。本规范规定的空气声隔声测量适用于测听室与外部空间的隔声性能测量。
本规范也适用于测量耳声发射和听觉诱发电位的测听室声学特性的测试。
