GB/T 41994-2022 Industrial furnace and associated processing equipment—Safety requirements for machinery and equipment for production of steel by electric arc furnaceses
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the general safety requirements for electric arc furnaces (EAF) used in steelmaking that do not contain radioactive substances.
Note: Radioactive substances are tested before entering the steel mill.
This document covers the major hazards, dangerous situations, and dangerous events related to EAF listed in Table 1, including failures that can be predicted under the intended and manufacturer-specified conditions of use, as well as misuse scenarios.
This document stipulates the guidelines for integrated equipment and devices in the production process.
This document prescribes the requirements for ensuring personnel safety during equipment design, transportation, assembly, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
This document assumes that the equipment is operated and maintained by adequately trained personnel, and that manual settings, adjustments, and maintenance are part of the normal use of the equipment.
