Scope
This document specifies the security compliance checklist for evaluating secure cryptographic devices (SCDs) in the financial services environment. Integrated circuit (IC) payment cards are within the scope of this document before issuance, but will be considered personal devices and fall outside the scope of this document after issuance. This document applies to the security compliance testing of SCD devices used in retail financial services. This document does not apply to issues caused by SCD denial of service attacks.
