Scope

This document specifies the voltage and frequency of the traction power supply system, as well as the testing methods and procedures.
This document is applicable to:
—— Railways;
—— Urban rail transit systems, such as metro systems, light rail systems, straddle monorail systems, suspended monorail systems, automatic guided rail systems, tram systems, guided rubber-tire trolley systems, and low- and medium-speed maglev systems.
This document is not applicable to:
—— Electrified transportation in industrial and mining enterprises (including underground tunnel transportation);
—— Lifting equipment, conveyor platforms, and similar transportation equipment on rail tracks, as well as temporary structures (such as exhibition structures), because they are not directly supplied with power via the overhead contact line or through transformers;
—— Suspended cable cars.
