Scope
本文件描述了四种在平整表面上测定硫化橡胶或热塑性橡胶硬度的方法（标准硬度方法）以及四种测定弯曲表面表观硬度的方法（表观硬度方法）。硬度值以橡胶国际硬度（IRHD）表示。
这些测定方法所适用的硬度范围为10 IRHD～100 IRHD。这些方法的主要区别在于球形压头直径和压入力大小，应根据特定的用途选择合适的方法。每种方法的适用范围如图1所示。
本文件没有描述使用便携式硬度计测定硬度的方法，该方法在ISO 48-5中描述。
