Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the selection, design, production, testing, acceptance, storage, and transportation of excitation power units for small hydropower units. This standard applies to excitation power units used in the excitation systems of small hydropower units with an excitation current of 500 A or less, including thyristor rectifier excitation regulating devices composed of thyristor power devices and switch-type excitation regulating devices composed of power electronic switching devices.
