Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for all parties involved in the design, manufacture, assembly, use, and maintenance of uncoiling, leveling, and shearing production lines, including suppliers and users.
This standard applies to various standalone machines and mechanical combinations in uncoiling, leveling, and shearing production lines (see Appendix A).
This standard also applies to auxiliary devices used in uncoiling, leveling, and shearing production lines.
This standard does not apply to machinery and equipment related to uncoiling, leveling, and shearing production lines, such as etching, electroplating, plating, painting, lubrication, and surface pre-processing equipment.
