Scope

This document specifies the classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and disposal requirements for insulating barriers used in electrical power applications. This document is applicable to isolating live parts during electrical work in the voltage range of 0.4 kV to 35 kV, limiting the operating range of workers, and preventing accidental contact with live parts. This document is not applicable to insulating barriers used as components of equipment and devices.
