Scope
This document specifies the general requirements for welding of dissimilar steels in thermal power plants, including the design of welding joints, pre-welding preparation, selection of welding materials, welding processes, welding heat treatment, quality inspection, and repair of welding joints. This document is applicable to welding dissimilar steels using welding methods such as electrode arc welding, tungsten inert gas arc welding, gas shielded metal arc welding, flux-cored wire arc welding, and submerged arc welding. It applies to welding of pressure-bearing components and the welding of non-pressure-bearing components on pressure-bearing components. The welding of non-pressure-bearing components can be carried out in accordance with this document.
