Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for sample preparation of chemical fiber yarns, deviations in yarn weight and the coefficient of variation in yarn weight, length deviation rate, short fiber rate, long fiber rate, length dispersion coefficient, fiber particles, fiber flakes, defects, content of fibers longer than 200 mm, and heat shrinkage rate.
This standard is applicable to various chemical fiber yarn products such as polyester and acrylic yarns. Other yarn products can be used for reference.
