Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, models, technical requirements, and test methods for electromagnetic brakes used in electric motors, as well as inspection rules and delivery preparation. This standard applies to dry-type friction-type electromagnetic brakes with an outer diameter of the motor base not exceeding 400 mm and a braking torque not exceeding 1,000 N·m, which are DC-excited (hereinafter referred to as "brakes"). Other types of brakes and brake electromagnets can be used for reference.
