Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, equipment, measurement curves, inspection of measurement equipment, test points, measurements, measurement results, measurement uncertainty, and test reports for the quality testing methods of surface coatings on steel plates. This standard is applicable to the online measurement methods of the quality of continuous hot-dip galvanized or electrogalvanized steel plates. Zinc-aluminum coatings, aluminum-zinc coatings, aluminum-silicon coatings, electrogalvanized tin coatings, and zinc-iron alloy coatings can also be implemented in accordance with this standard. The measurement range of the single-sided coating quality of this standard is 1 g/m2 to 300 g/m2.
