Scope
This document specifies the general requirements and test methods for the design and performance of insertion-type pipe fittings used for thermoplastic pipes with an outer diameter of 3 mm to 16 mm (hereinafter referred to as plastic pipes).
The test methods in this document are applicable to insertion-type pipe fittings assemblies used in pneumatic systems. This document is not applicable to pneumatic braking systems.
