Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements and test methods for the design and performance of insertable pipe fittings used for plastic pipes with an outer diameter of 3 mm to 12 mm.
This standard applies to the testing of insertable pipe fittings (except for embedded pipe fittings) used in pneumatic systems. This standard does not apply to pneumatic braking systems.
