Scope
This document specifies the usage conditions, overall technical requirements, technical requirements for the lightning arrester body, technical requirements for control switches, technical requirements for controllers (control devices), testing and inspection, marking, transportation and storage, etc. of switch-type controllable metal oxide lightning arresters used in 1000kV ultra-high voltage AC systems. This document is applicable to switch-type controllable metal oxide lightning arresters (referred to as switch-type controllable lightning arresters) used in substations to limit the operating overvoltage of 1000kV ultra-high voltage AC systems.
