Scope

This test:
——Provides an accelerated test method for evaluating the discoloration of silver and silver alloys used in contact points and connectors;
——Is particularly suitable for comparative tests;
——It is not suitable as a general corrosion test, that is, it may not be able to predict the corrosion behavior of contact points and connectors in industrial atmospheres.
Note: Given the limited information obtained from the accelerated corrosion test, particular attention should be paid to the guidelines for this test given in GB/T 2424.12. And refer to GB/T 2424.10.
