Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for explosion-proof electric motors used for lifting, explosion-proof cone-shaped rotor electric motors, and explosion-proof shielded electric motors. This standard applies to all kinds of lifting machinery and other similar equipment's electric power drive explosion-proof electric motors, cone-shaped rotor brake electric motors, and explosion-proof shielded electric motors used in petroleum, chemical, and other industries for conveying substances that do not contain solid particles (all the above-mentioned electric motors are collectively referred to as electric motors in the following provisions, except for some special provisions).
