Scope

This standard applies to AC and DC motors, and specifically stipulates:
a) the marking rules for the winding connection points;
b) the marking of the winding wire ends;
c) the direction of rotation;
d) the relationship between the wire end markings and the direction of rotation;

f) the commonly used wiring diagrams of motors.
