This standard specifies the classification, characteristics, and test methods of natural graphite brushes for rotating electric motors.
This standard applies to brushes for rotating electric motors with commutators and collecting rings.
This standard does not apply to brushes for automobile and tractor starting devices, miniature household appliances and tools, aeronautical and aerospace electrical appliances, and electrical devices used under special conditions.
