Scope
This part of GB/T 26237 specifies the concepts and data formats used in the fingerprint representation based on detail points in GB/T 26237. This part is also universal and can be used in fields involving automatic fingerprint recognition. GB/T 26237 also includes definitions of related terms, how to determine the description of detail points, the format of data required for general use and card use, and compliance information. In the appendix of this part, steps, values, and decision parameters for matching are provided.
Although GB/T 26237.4 includes fingerprint and palmprint image data, this part only includes fingerprint detail points and is not applicable to palmprints.
