Scope

This document specifies the sampling, reagents and materials, instrumentation, experimental steps, result calculation, precision, and test report for the determination of thiophene content in benzene.
This document is applicable to the determination of thiophene content in coking benzene, coking toluene, coking xylene, and intermediate products. Method I (spectrophotometry): measurement range: 0.1 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg; Method II (gas chromatography): measurement range: 0.05 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg. The measurement range can be expanded by modifying the injection volume and split ratio.
