Scope
This document specifies a method for measuring the size and concentration of particles suspended in liquids using a light-scattering-based liquid particle counter (LELPC). The light-scattering-based liquid particle counter described in this document is based on the measurement of single particles, and the typical particle size range measured by this method is 1 μm to 100 μm. This method is suitable for evaluating the cleanliness of pharmaceuticals (such as injections, water for injections, and intravenous solutions), as well as for measuring the particle concentration and size distribution in various liquids.
