Scope

This standard specifies the tests, inspections, and procedures for verifying the performance of cranes (including operating parameters and load lifting capacity) (see ISO 7363).
This standard applies to all types of cranes defined in ISO 4306-1, which are put into use for the first time after manufacturing, modification, or repair of the load-bearing structure or components of the cranes.
When the rated lifting weight of the crane depends on stability, the specified test procedures and test loads can easily verify the allowable stability margin.
